From April to August 2024, The Maitri Arha Foundation collaborated with Kritagyata Trust, a Bengaluru-based NGO supporting women and children, to empower 11 young girls through a weekly public speaking course. Designed to build confidence, enhance storytelling, and encourage self-expression, the course led to significant improvement among all participants.
From June to August 2024, Maitri Arha conducted a fundraiser for Mylos Rescue, a Bengaluru-based dog care shelter housing over 200 dogs and working towards establishing a veterinary hospital. Leveraging personal networks, the team raised ₹1,000 over 2.5 months and helped spread awareness about the importance of protection, nutrition, and healthcare for stray and rescued dogs.
From 26th December 2024 to 1st January 2025, a five-day skill development workshop was conducted by the founder of Maitri Arha Foundation, Ms. Aryaa Praseed. Each day focused on a different aspect of holistic development. Teamwork, effective communication, leadership, storytelling and public speaking was focused on. Across 5 days, 49 students of grades 8 and 9 were actively impacted.
From 16th April 2025 to 28th April 2025, an eleven-day summer camp was conducted by Maitri Arha in collaboration with Lions' Club Manipal. Sports, art, dance, physical health checkups, yoga, teamwork and communication were few aspects that were covered. From 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., kids enjoyed various activities like movie screenings and tournaments as well. A total of 93 kids aged 8 to 18 attended the camp in Shivapadi Temple, Manipal.
In collaboration with SAS Foundation, this webinar emphasized the need to eradicate ragging, promoting safe and inclusive educational environments through awareness and policies. Knowledge partners Vanaraksha Foundation and The Maitri Arha Foundation shared the platform. On 28th November 2024, five eminent panelists engaged the webinar which was attended by over 120 participants.
On account of International Yoga Day 2025, Maitri Arha visited Vatsalyapuram Trust NGO (Jayanagar, Bangalore) and conducted a yoga workshop. The instructor, Ms. Ranjana Yogish helped 19 young kids navigate through various Aasanas and Pranayama techniques. Through this session, the aspects of physical well-being through Yoga was emphasized.
